Jose Rivera

Jose Rivera is a music instructor from Trenton, New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Music with a double concentration in classical guitar performance and voice performance from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. He has been teaching guitar for over 30 years, including classical, electric, steel string, and bass guitar. In addition to teaching, Jose has played and led church and rock ensembles for over 35 years. He has won guitar competitions and has traveled the US and abroad performing in ensembles, guitar quartets, and as vocalist and  accompanist. He loves performing and teaching in many genres of music, some of his favorites include worship, latin, classical, and rock. As a teacher he loves watching his students cultivate their gifts and discover what the amazing gift of music can do to fulfill their lives.
