Colleen Schmitt began studying piano at the age of five, and has been performing professionally since the age of eighteen. Her diverse experience includes performing in classical recitals, leading rock bands, accompanying choirs, vocalists and instrumentalists, directing and performing in music theater, leading contemporary worship, as well as writing music, which she studied at the University level. Having taught piano for 20 years, she delights in discovering the specific methods, practices and repertoire to advance and inspire each individual student to not only accomplish but to excel, and to discover the joy of music she has found.
