All students who have lessons after 5:00pm tomorrow will be rescheduled. If you have a lesson scheduled before the early closing tomorrow that you cannot attend for any reason, please contact the office or your teacher directly as soon as possible to let us know. Any lesson rescheduling due to the storm will not count towards your make-up lesson allotment for this quarter. Please refer to the Student Portal to book a time for a make-up lesson that is convenient for you. 

As of now, we plan to reopen on Wednesday afternoon for all regularly scheduled lessons if conditions permit. We are continuing to monitor the storm, and we will keep you all updated.

Our new location is 1611 W. Platt Street Tampa, FL 33606, just five minutes away from our previous building on Azeele. That said, our teachers are open to attempting virtual lessons should weather and internet conditions allow. Any lessons not attended this week will be made up later by your teacher. 

If you would like to try a virtual lesson, please contact your teacher directly to let them know that yes, you'd like to try virtual if it is possible or no, you will be unavailable this week so they can plan their schedule accordingly. Due to Hurricane Ian and the current evacuation recommendations for South Tampa, in-person lessons will be suspended beginning on Tuesday, September 27th. This is to allow everyone the freedom to make the necessary preparations for their families and homes, and to allow our teachers to get home safely before the tropical force winds begin Tuesday night.  

That said, we will still be available for virtual lessons tomorrow if the evacuation recommendation does not affect you or if you simply want something to take your mind off the storm :) 

If you do plan to continue virtually tomorrow, Tuesday, September 27th, please contact your teacher directly to let them know that yes, you'd like to do virtual tomorrow or no, you will be unavailable this week so they can plan their schedule accordingly.

Please note, pre-registration is for current Leopold students only. 

It is important that you act quickly to reserve your spot for the upcoming year. Registration will extend to new students on June 14th so now is your opportunity to get the best spot for your schedule or to retain your current lesson time. Any student not pre-registered by June 14th runs the risk of losing a time slot in their teacher's schedule. If we do not receive a form, we will assume you do not plan to continue on with us next year.

In addition to this online form, a registration fee of $25.00 per student or $40.00 for families with more than one enrolled student will be due to reserve your spot. Once your pre- registration form has been submitted, the registration fee will be added to your account to be paid with your next invoice. Your pre-registration is not finalized until we receive this fee. 
We do our very best to accommodate everyone's scheduling needs, but please be patient with us- any flexibility you have is greatly appreciated! 

The 2022-2023 school year starts the week of August 15th, 2022 and runs until May 26th, 2023.

We do plan to livestream the performances so families unable to attend will be able to enjoy the recitals, these videos will be available to view on our YouTube Channel TheLeopoldSchool.

Place: Oakwood Community Church
11209 Casey Road Tampa, FL
Dates: 11:00 AM Saturday, May 14th, 2022 (Piano/Guitar) 
         6:00 PM Saturday, May 14th, 2022 (Voice), Mandatory rehearsals times will be   scheduled from 1:00-5:00pm

Students are recommended to participate in recitals, but never required to perform. Participation in recitals is offered to those who have met the eligibility requirements which are as follows: 
  • A recital fee of $25.00 has been paid a week prior to the date of the recital (May 6th, 2022)
  • The student is current on all tuition installments and fees
  • The student has studied for no less than six months, and the teacher feels it would be beneficial (teacher endorsement is required for participants)
  • All music to be performed has been memorized (voice only) 
  • The student appears in proper recital attire (dress code is given below) 
DRESS CODE: Please remember that this is a semi-formal recital in a church venue. Any student dressed inappropriately will not be allowed to perform. Dresses/gowns/skirts must be an appropriate length- the stage is elevated (No tennis shoes, no flip flops, no strapless or backless attire)

We do plan to livestream the performances so families unable to attend will be able to enjoy the recitals! Regardless of vaccination status, we do ask that all attendees and participants wear face masks at our recitals. Voice students will be allowed to perform without a face mask on. As a precaution, we do ask that piano and guitar students remain masked for the full duration of their recital.  Livestream links will be posted on our website, and emailed to participants.
